Subject: Re: [s-cars] Racing jack
Been meaning to get 2 new jacks, as my current twins are beat up after close
to 4 years of heavy use. I wasnt in a rush, so sorry Lee being late with
feedback, but for all the others, heres some decent choices.
For close to that price range Lee, I'd rather have this one. Knowing from
personal use; the wheels/roller, hydraulik function, knurled handle, spare
tray, warratny ability, etc, are very compelling features. Im buying 2
though, so probably out of my price threshold.

NOT a LW racing jack, just offered for knowledge of a good stay put in the
shop, not boy racer lowered, jack option.

Clever design on this one. Ive known/used Torin with no ill effect, but as
always, caveat emptor!

Another NOT LW race jack, but made with pride here in the states, good for a
stay put in the shop situation for average height cars... or lowerd cars
rolled up on 2x6's.. which ive seen in action, and WOW does it get em up.

This Jegs one is what im leaning towards. Same as the ones ive got now
except for the saddle, which is nicely designed on this one.

This is the one I'd really like, but cost is a factor and im waiting to hear
back if by "American made" they mean assembled in USA of Chi-Com parts, or
made in the USA of USA sourced material, or if theyre fibbing all together,,
no response by them yet.

The one other thing to really think about I didnt see mentioned is the
overall length of the cheapest of cheap. The ones that I see as
functional(listed) have an overall length of about 23" or longer. The other,
shorter versions are really only good for changing tires, but if you're only
looking for a trunk it to the autocross jack, that may be acceptable for
you.
happy jacking!
