3 years IS a long time, so I could understand if they gave you a hard time
to prove the install window etc.

But would have expected (ESPECIALLY Given your lifetime spend with them...)
that they'd at least give you something like "OK tell you what - how about
we'll sell you the rebuild parts at cost..?"   Or something similar.
