I went to Watkins Glen last September for the vintage races (volunteer pit crew), the weather was iffy but it was great fun. Morgan was the featured marque. There were all sorts of cool race cars including a former PLN Nissan, ex-Peter Revson McLaren, a Brock Yates Special, Jag XJR5, and many IMSA, Can Am, Trans Am, SCCA, etc. vintage race cars. There was also a show field with a wide range of cars ranging from ur Scirocco to Ferrari 275 GTB. I plan to keep going back.
Carlisle is always fun. There is an intrepid group of Audi enthusiasts who put together the "Coolest Hangout". Bill Miller (owner of the facility) has a race prepped urQ that was previously driven by John Buffum and Bobby Unser. Some people travel quite a distance from the deep south, New England, mid-west, all over. There are threads on Motorgeek and quattrofans for photos of past events.
I'll be sure to post a reminder prior to the PVGP. Kase, do you need an elbow in the ribs or just a bit of peer pressure?

Taka - I might make it to the Pittsburgh event. I was there when Audi was the event marque about 10 years ago. Beautiful place and just a great event.
Let me know about any ALMS or vintage events you may attend. I'd like to whet my racing whistle this year. Are you thinking the Glen? Lime Rock?
I may also make it over to Carlisle. Its only an hour away and I have only been there once (for the Import show) and that was also about 10 years ago.
Wait, there is a pattern here. Ah, my daughter is 11 and my son is 9...

I'd love to see you guys at this event- I think I will try to make it to the
western side of my state this summer. With the Rennsport Reunion IV looking
like it will never happen and the Canadian GP being prohibitively expensive,
I think I will simply settle for some ALMS races in the Northeast and some
vintage events.
Anyone else planning on going? Kase?
BTW, anyone going to the Carlisle import show?
Taka
