Pregunta rapida - not for the S-car but for the wife's new-used-CPO A3 which
got vandalized a couple of weeks ago by some screaming douchenozzles.
As far as we can tell either happened while were quietly having dinner in a
restaurant, or in our own driveway while we were asleep, but we came out the
next morning to find below pictured fiasco - we're assuming something like
idiot teenagers who stole a beer or two from dad's fridge and in a moment of
heady inebriation from having chugged an entire 6oz of bud light, let out
their rage against parental injustice on our poor innocent CPO A3. Yes yes
I'm sure your Dad IS a huge dick for cutting down on the cell phone text
message contract. Smash my car, it will make everything right.
Anyway they slammed something on the roofline causing a dent and the long
panorama-roof-bordering trim strip on that side to buckle and pop up... I
certainly hope that brief second of random retardation gave them at least my
$300-deductible worth of momentary enjoyment and righteous validation.
Not a huge deal at all - the trim strip should be just a pop-in, and then a
tiny ding along the roofline over the door (which I actually hope might be
able to be "paintlessed"... and if they say they want to repaint the side or
the whole roof we may just leave it and snap a new trim strip in rather than
end up with the danger of some mismatched orange peel... )
But getting to the question: I know Dick's in Somerville is the go-to for
Boston area independent shops... Is there any particular go/no-go on
specific stealership body shops in the area?
I just want to confirm the adjuster estimate at this point with an 'official
dealer' quote before my wife touches the check which they are anxious for us
to cash of course. We're Merrimackish so SNH stealers are within easy reach
as well, less so Rhodie or South Shore dealers although that's where we
bought the thing, and I have a weird flexible existence so running down
there wouldn't be completely out of the question.
TIA
