Find a shop that offers Huper Optik. This stuff was developed for Mercedes.
The installation shop should have a demo where you place your hand under a
heat lamp. They will then slide a piece of glass with normal window tint on
it. It will reduce the light, but you can still feel the heat. They will
then remove the normal tint, and slide a piece of glass with Huper Optik on
it. It will greatly cut the heat.
You may have to shop around to find a shop that carries the tint you want.
My local shop in Austin only carries 30 (cuts 70% of light). I wanted
something lighter (50), so had to look for shops in Dallas and Houston.
It is expensive. Plan on $400 for the wagon. You can also get a clear on
the windshield, but that can run up to $300. The extra cost is supposedly
due to the high risk of cracking an expensive piece of glass.
