owned a number of Audis; 1980 5000s, 1982 Coupe, 1983 Coupe GT, 1984 4000s, 1988
5000s Quattro, but this is my first experience with a turbo engined car. I live
in central Colorado at about 8,000 ft. My driving is primarily mountain highways
and interstates; short trips are at least 10 miles. What are your
recommendations for oil during the summer months; I've always run 20w-50 but I'm
not sure that this is the best for the turbo. I'm also having a problem with
being able to see the instruments; particularly with the lights on atr
dusk/dawn. Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution. Finally, are there
any listers in the central Colorado area.

Gary - I run synth - Mobil 1 in the S6.

There are plenty of listers in Colorado, some in the Vail Valley others on
the Front Range (I'm both places).

Some owners have replaced the bulbs with brighter ones in the instrument
panel. It's not hard to pull the instruments, you remove the trim on the
bottom (look under the trim for the screws), which then exposes more screws
for the removal of the actual gauges, it comes out as one big piece. Cover
the top of your steering wheel housing with a rag as you can scratch it with
the sharp plastic housing for the gauges. Easy job.

Welcome to the list!
