Gary,
before you go to the effort to swap bulbs be smart, check and make sure the lights aren't dimmed.
There is a "stalk" that protrudes from the instrument cluster, one function is to control the brightness of the lights.
I'd check and make sure it isn't dimmed, as the stock lighting isn't bad and if you go directly
to swapping in new bulbs you may never be happy until you undim the lights.

Chris

Subject: [s-cars] New to 'S' cars
Recently acquired a 94 S4 which seems to run good but needs lots of TLC. I've owned a number of Audis; 1980 5000s, 1982 Coupe, 1983 Coupe GT, 1984 4000s, 1988 5000s Quattro, but this is my first experience with a turbo engined car. I live in central Colorado at about 8,000 ft. My driving is primarily mountain highways and interstates; short trips are at least 10 miles. What are your recommendations for oil during the summer months; I've always run 20w-50 but I'm not sure that this is the best for the turbo. I'm also having a problem with being able to see the instruments; particularly with the lights on atr dusk/dawn. Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution. Finally, are there any listers in the central Colorado area.
Thanks in advance for your help.
