Steve,
Pentosin is expensive & it's a pita to clean & gets everywhere &
you'll mark your parking spot like a dog.
I had Nebar Supply Co. www.nebaronline.com in Seattle rebuild it for
around $70 vs $249+ for new. Dropped it off in morning & picked it up
in the afternoon. Talk to Bruce Huson. There is a noise restrictor
they have to re-use in the line, remind them just in case. Mine was
the first one they did & they just called Spokane House of Hose & they
told them how to do it. No shipping to pay & local same day service.
5-15 minutes for you to r&r hose using basic hand tools in the driveway.
BTW-
I rode my Ducati Monster 1000S to the Matt Ammon Memorial Audi Club
NW DE day & pointed out that your bumper grill was falling off.

Hi S-Heads:
My 95.5 (120k mi) S6 is starting to experience a leak from the 'J
hose' on
the high pressure hydraulic circuit. My question is this: is this an
urgent repair, or can I watch it and take care of it in the next few
months?
Is the failure mode a catastrophic leak?
Thanks,
Steve V
