Steve,
I guess I should have recognized that this is an OBD II vehicle that
has greatly expanded sensor diagnostics capability. Since you read
the codes first I assume you used a VCDS (VAG-COM) and have looked at
the possible causes and corrective action in Bentley. Maybe reading
the measuring blocks 08 can help. Most of the obvious causes that
have been suggested should also display a separate code.
Other than fully investigating the condition of the connectors and the
O2 sensor cable to the ECU, I can't offer any other suggestions.
