Gentz,
Might I suggest a Porsche 914, toss out the 4 cylinder and swap in an AAN all
set up with the RS2 goodies.
Would seem great to have the intake manifold that says "powered by Porsche";
would probably cause alot
of people to wonder WTF you were driving?
914 chassis are light, cheap and readily available; add a stiffening kit and
grab from all of the off the shelf available parts
and bam your off having fun.
Here is a quick search on cars, seem to start at $700, alot in the $1 - $2k
range.

Just thinking out loud
Chris

B5 avants weigh just a tad more than the sedans, other than that, they're
identical...

I already have the car, but I understand the rest of your logic. BTW, there is a
big difference between the B5 sedan's and the B5 avant's as a track car, but
there are similarities too, i.e. way high cost on consumables :)
