Good points, I would suggest the factory considers your second point
highest, regarding its bottom line.

Our cars are front engine but I wasnt considering that in my questioning
which I should have. Longitudinal doesnt HAVE to mean over the front axles..
I was thinking on what I see as being more capable of holding up to high
output and putting it to the ground most effectively.
