[s-cars] dropped a coil

This is indeed the replacement as quoted to me today by my dealer as well....replaces the R coil. Apikol's website reflects their "kit" now includes these coils instead of the Rs. Looking at it right now trying to decide which route to take.

Claimed "no 115Rs in stock - take it or leave it".

What was their reasoning/justification for not selling the 115R?

I stopped by dealer to get a new spare coil having also replaced number no.4
recently.. They wouldn't sell me the 115R version but sold me a 06A 905 115
D ($27cdn) version.

Anybody have any experience with this new coil?

Mai difference appears to be the rubber bung around the spark plug would sit
more snugly.

Hi Y'all,

It is seldom that one gets to report a simple repair. I had to run
an errand this morning and just for kicks I drove the RS2ed
urS6. (With the 1.8t coil mod.) On the way back home came the
unmistakable single cylinder miss of a dropped coil. Pulled into the
garage and checked to find the dead coil at cylinder #4. Unplugged
the coil, got into the box of spare coils in the trunk and plugged in
a new coil. Bingo! The miss is fixed. So simple.

This report is probably a big mistake. The Audi gods are likely to
come after me now.

Bob
