I've had good luck using Devcon Plastic Welder on the clips. It's a 2-part methacrylate glue, and it seems to adhere to the plastic cover better than epoxy does.
I put additional glue over the clip to strengthen the bond, taking care not to interfere with the spring action of the clip.
