Dave,
I JUST did mine today, although I bought it over a month ago. I posted about it on the qw forums. Get OEM only. Check your local dealer price then compare with genuineaudiparts.com. I quote their price, add in a little for shipping and convenience, and my dealer matches it. Very easy to negotiate, at least it was on my end. I was having all kinds of flaky problems, from the starter not engaging the flywheel (don't know if that was attributable to the switch), a funny running "hiccup" (also don't know if that was attributable to the switch either), etc, but when I pulled mine it was indeed cracked on the end, and I'd had one instance a few months ago where I got the crazy blinker no turn signal action. It was time.
