Calvin,
I was having horrible consumption issues with Dino Castrol 20w50 prior to this most recent oil change (202K miles). I switched to Mobil 1 full synth and not only has the consumption gone down substantially, but the car has never been quieter with the hood up. Of course, your experience may vary.
