Dave,

If all you are going to buy is the ignition switch (electrical  
portion) there is no need to go looking for a bargain.
By the time you pay the minimum freight you will eat up any online  
savings.

Why don't we say genuine Audi part when that is what we mean.  The  
online sellers will be listing Meyle parts
as OEM because there is some obscure original part they supplied some  
manufacturer.  That nomenclature does
not mean the same thing as genuine Audi part.

I have seen both kinds of failures, but the intermittent failure soon  
became a total failure.  Observe the check engine
light when you are having issues with the car starting or running.
