Steve:  I am not sure when I became aware of this issue. Certainly it was before I installed my RS2
exhaust cam on my otherwise fully RS2'd AAN.  However,  since installing the cam is no biggy, I 
thought I would try it with the AAN exhaust cam sprocket and see how it works.  The answer is, it
 "works".  How well, is debatable. My butt dyno isn't calibrated that well so a real back to back 
dyno test would be needed.  And then another test with the proper RS2 exhaust cam sprocket and
 cam sensor shutter (shield, whatever). 

I think my bigger concern related to the chip set I am running with my RS2'd goodies and whether the RS2 shutter put the cam sensor window back in the OE AAN spot or whether it was turned
10 degrees.  (I presume the RS2 window is adjusted back to the OE AAN/ABY trigger point).

One thing that was in the back of my aging mind was in the very old days, I ran an adjustable cam
sprocket on a VW 1.6 water cooled (1980 Jetta) (headers, big valve head, G grind cam, Weber 
big throat, etc).  Moving the cam one way or the other lead to compromises (if you gained on
the top end, you lost on the bottom end, and vice versa).  Of course, the car companies figured this
out and now even the Toyota Yaris 1.5L engine has 16V and variable cam geometry.

For now I am happy with the RS2 exhaust cam installed as an AAN cam.  I haven't gone through
 "Air Care" with it yet (this June I think, every 2 years) so we'll see.
