Hi Y'all,
We have a beautiful old antique desk, a "secretary", with a small
wooden drawer in it. The secretary has been a family heirloom for as
long as I can remember and, I'm certain, much longer than that. I
inherited the piece from my mother and she had inherited it from her
mother. The drawer has some pencil writing on its outside which has
grown fainter and fainter over the years. I can still make it out
but with considerable difficulty.
Now, my question for all you photography experts out there - what can
be done to help us read the writing? I am thinking sort of in terms
of photographing the side of the drawer and then fiddling with
contrast, color enhancement, etc, to improve legibility. Any
suggestions? I'm taking the drawer to a local photography shop this
afternoon to see what he might be able to come up with. Meanwhile, I
have a decent Nikon DSLR which might be helpful for a DIY project.
Bob
