[s-cars] Two Struts Forward, One Strut Backward

Same story different car.

I used some Febi mounts from 034, lasted about 3-4 months.

But when I got into it when mine were replaced the cup shaped bearing or
whatever it is, was omitted.

Found some of the cups and same top mount company (febi) had lasted 2 years
(before the car was totaled).

I replaced the control arms, tie rod ends, ect!

When you have it apart drill a small hole in the bottom of the tube the
strut goes into to allow water to get out, mine froze a couple times while
skiing, and you wouldn't believe the bone crushing hammering the front end
took on frozen roads. Which didn't help the top mounts in the slightest! But
I was planning on going through the suspension again because it had gotten
loose again, gee I wonder why.with all the rough driving when frozen?
Actually I drove really slow and avoided all the potholes, soon as the car
warmed up and flexed around a bit it would drive fine.

Ditto what Wylie said..

when it comes to bushings or mounts, pay the $ for oem, or pay your
installer repeatedly to replace the inferior aftermarket one....

strut mount is a dealer part, anything's possible. I had a set of cheap
aftermarket ones fail after 1K miles, installed by a pro. Riding on dealer
mounts now and although $85 each, they're holding up as far as I can tell,
30K miles in.
