Why would you put dielectric grease on something you wanted to get a good contact? Seems to be a common misconception. Dielectric grease is ***nonconductive*** and should only be used when you need to lubricate something that you DO NOT WANT conducting electricity ie the pad in breaker points, spark plug boots that are tough to install/remove, etc. Clean it out of there and use some contact enhancer like Stabilant 22.
