You might find oleic acid at an old-time type pharmacy, but this guy sells
it in small bottles (search down for "cease & desist contact cleaner")

Solvents of choice include coleman fuel, VMP naphtha, or lighter fluid
(which is mostly naphtha anyway), depending on consistency desired. The
lighter fluid will be a bit thicker than the others.  Note comments at link
above for other ideas - he suggests 5% concentration.  Some mix it at as
much as 1:1 for lubrication purposes while the more thinned out varieties
are more for contact cleaning purposes (aka leave less residue).
