I had a hard starting condition once that was most definitely fixed with a FPR replacement. The car would usually fire up after several failed attempts, and I don't recall any other symptoms after it eventually started (totally bone stock motor). Finally one day it absolutely refused to start (luckily at home in the garage). After some fruitless diagnostics on the fuel pump, Saltino gave me the suggestion of the FPR. I swapped it over from my parts car, it worked like a champ.
