It runs again!

I plugged in a replacement fuel pump relay (from AutohausAZ) on Sunday
afternoon and she fired right up (much to my amazement!) So it *was* the
fuel pump relay.

My bench testing showed that relay was flaky, but I'm a little puzzled why
it didn't start when I manually held the contacts closed while cranking.
Perhaps I didn't properly close all 3 of the contacts?? I could hear the
fuel pump run, but maybe the injectors weren't getting power??

Now that it's running, I took the RE960s off (for the last time-they're all
used up) and put on the Hakka R's, so now I'm ready to play in the snow. not
that we have much at the moment.

Thanks to all those that contributed suggestions, and good luck to those
still troubleshooting a no-start situation. The answer is to buy a VW and
replace your fuel pump relay!

P.S. My car has all fuses above the ECU, no circuit breakers. Looks like
they came that way from the factory. Late build 1995 (06/95 build date.)
