Jim,
I got the NAPA part and I *believe* it's the same as the replacement Bosch in terms of diameter.  I'm pretty sure the FPR is on the downstream side of the fuel rail so it doesn't (shouldn't?) affect fuel flowing into the injectors.  There's some discussion about the variance in sizes of the orifices on the QW forums and the fuel system diagram is in the FAQ in the UrS section.  Regardless I'm glad you're back up and running.

Many thanks to the list once again, and Wylie in particular.  I replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the fuel filter this morning, and sure enough, once fuel got back into the system she started right up.  Drove around for awhile, shut her down, started right up again.  Let it sit for 15 minutes and started right up again.  Drove on the highway to work this afternoon and while there are still some minor hiccups, the 4K stumble seems to have disappeared completely.  I'll test some further WOT runs and see, but the fact that she starts and runs 90-95% at this point I'm very pleased.

One noteworthy observation.....out of several FPR options, I chose to spend the extra 60 bucks and get the Bosch part.  I was very disappointed to receive a "Made in China" part, for $100!  I'm actually a bit pissed off actually. I thought by going with Bosch and spending the extra dough I'd bypass the China bullsh*t.  In comparison to the FPR that was installed at the factory, the internal diameter of the fuel hole is narrower, yet the part is rated at 4.0 bar, same as the original part.  Will this narrower hole allow enough fuel to pass through on a chipped motor?  Maybe this is why I still have slight hesitation throughout the RPM range?  Should I spend the $40 on the NAPA part and compare?
