I'm currently using a different form of the Zeus style fasteners audi used: i recommend visiting your local Yamaha or H-D dealer for these. 
Harley' use Zeus fasteners to hold the saddlebags on for all of their touring models, these have a no-tool-required easy removal. Other option is from Yamaha snowmobiles as they use a similar no-tool Zeus fastener, or order some from the lower fairings on a 04 and up R1. Those will require a 5mm Allen however. 

These all work good for the 3 (5) directly below the engine. you'll need the receptacle part also. 

I haven't had a chance to fab anything for the wheel wells yet. Currently using 2 zip ties and 2 of the oem plastic ones.
