Abe,

There are a several ways to approach this issue.

One is a magnet mount like you posted, obviously several ways to achieve the similar end results. Here's another link going the magnet route. http://forums.quattroworld.com/tt/msgs/32638.phtml

There are plate brackets you can screw into your front tow hook point if the offset plate doesn't offend you: http://www.gominigo.com/Audi.html

There are several varieties of the under the bumper hide-a-plate brackets, however the TT tends to be low enough in the nose that I think these would get destroyed fairly easily, and likely cause more damage to an expensive front fascia instead of the normal lower scratching most suffer:

And of course, you could purchase a second front filler panel, attach a plate bracket to it and swap them as needed, but I don't remember how forgiving the tabs on those panels are, and I'd be worried about breaking them after to many swaps.

Gents

Anyone know of a way to mount a front plate on an 02 TT without drilling into an otherwise pristine bumper?

Saw this and it looks promising.
