[s-cars] Question about codes......

Jim,
After the code blinks out, unless you tell it to "move on" to the next one, it will repeat the same code. By holding the wires together and then releasing, it will move on to the next one.
Either way, I'm pretty sure you've found the culprit. It blinks the most recent one first.

Subject: [s-cars] Question about codes......
Okay Gents,
So, I've successfully pulled codes for the first time in my five years of urS6 ownership! I've been quite lucky not having to until now, I guess. My question is.....the same code blinked for over a half hour....#2113 "Cam Position Sensor" until the already stressed battery got to the point that I needed to shut it down. I have replaced the CPS within the past 30K miles, and have had some symptoms that would suggest it failed again, so I will replace with one I have on hand. My question is.....is this repetition normal? Kind of figured it was going through 75K miles of stored codes, and every stumble I've experienced lately threw that code. Just curious as to how these stored codes work. After going through them all, does that reset automatically, or do I have to go to the ECU and do it there?
I'll let you know how things go after the CPS replacement tomorrow.
Best regards,
Jim Fleischer
