Fellow S-Heads,

I have a BBK that utilizes 993TT calipers. I was replacing the braided lines this weekend and noticed a small leak where the new line (male end) enters the caliper. Seems as though I did not tighten the male end of the line enough. I suppose I did not want to strip the threads. After they were tighter and non leaking, I did notice that the male end of the braided SS line does not bottom out against the side of the caliper and was wondering if others that had 993TT calipers had this same issue.

My current replacement lines came with copper crush washers, but the gap between the caliper and the end of the line is wider than the crush washer, I'd say by a factor of 2x or 3x the thickness of the crush washer.

I have had 3 different manufacturers of SS braided lines on the car and I am fairly certain that they have all had this same issue.

Regards,

manny
