I agree 100% w/ Pizzo.

Last thing I would want on my D2 is a 6spd. Its oh so sweet in Tip mode. The 
only thing I'm giving up is rev-matching on the downshifts ..and I've had
a 4.2 Q w/ both a 6spd and Auto.

The C5 S6 is perfect without a 6 speed manual gearbox.  If it was a little
lighter, I may agree with you.

The thing is a battleship.  You have to drive one for an extended period of
time to get it.  187k & I wouldn't have it any other way.

documented on multiple sites, parts readily available. It will be cheaper
than the AR, and there's less to go wrong.
