[s-cars] BB Automacao Hall Senders: Longevity?

Dave, et al,
My car had one installed by the PO just before I bought it in 2006.  I replaced it last year with one from Ed DiGregory's GB done 2 years ago(?).... That was after approximately 80K/3yrs of driving.
