Hey guys...I'm biased, yes, The 6-speed allroad is GREAT....minimal problems except for suspension airbags and compresser that went at 150K (expect any allroad to have failing airbags at some point). We've had ours since 2005 at 68K, chipped it, 402mod...that's it and that's all they need IMO. Now its approaching 170K and another 6 years I hope with the recent TB done.
An auto is boring in the allroad... that's why not so many 6 speeds can be found for sale...folks keep 'em for a looooooong time.
If you don't need the adjustable suspension then look at the S6 Avant...an equally nice if not better with the V8 and no suspension issues to fear.(be careful of the early V8s with their weak torque converters tho) But here in New England this year with all the snow...the adjustable suspension is NICE to have.
