Well documented, good examples of classic Ferraris have significantly
outperformed the stock market in the last 30 years. The problem is the high
cost of entry and difficulty of selling- it's not like having $10M of a good
stock, can't just liquidate overnight. It's like trying to buy several
shares of Berkshire Hathaway. :-)
There will be no real collector market for Audis except for the Sport
Quattro due to the total lack of support by the factory. And cars like the
SQ have a big problem- if you crash it, it would be very, very hard to get
the car repaired- you'd have to fabricate a ton of stuff, much like you
would to repair a pre-war classic.
