The Audi v8 5/6speed cars came from the factory with a Torsen Center/Torsen
Rear. IMO, the best S car setup you can get -- given a torsen center. For
install, it's a direct, and I mean direct - bolt in swap. You take the rear
diff out of the S car, and you put the Torsen in. All mounting bolts,
ebrake routing, subframe mounting, driveshaft/axles all bolt right up to the
torsen rear diff assembly as pulled from a v8, btdt many times.
The rear torsen subtly addresses many of the understeer oversteer issues the
open rear causes to the center torsen. Very noticeable on a track, and much
more noticeable traction in the winter.
