[s-cars] NurSC - What's loud at dawn then

Kind my exact same situation, totaled my S6A in September, thought I'd find
a replacement S6A but no such luck!
There's a lot of crap for sale as far as S6As
I've got 126K on a 2002 6spd Allroad!
Is it the lack of space in the intake path for the ICs that cause the intake
temps to cook the smaller turbos?
So in looking for K04s are the RS6 turbos the same as K04s?
Is it necessary to replace the entire intake system; ICs, intake tubing,
injectors.
And of course the ECU upgrades.
Kind of what I'm seeing.

Yeah the bad rep on the K03s is far less for the 1.8T's than the 2.7T based
cars. While young lads with more adrenaline and testosterone than sense
have certainly cooked K03's on (mostly poorly modded) 1.8T's, it's the V6
that is infamous for eating them.
Good for those guys here who have had 'em survive, but it sure isn't the
reputation.
100k on K03's is actually very high. I've seen then fail at many less miles
than that numerous times. On the 2.7tt the K03's are too small and run too
hot.
