[s-cars] S6 ignition switch woes

Hey Lads, 

Couple months ago you guys help me diagnose my '95.5 S6 Avant's ignition switch failure. The car died after 

returning from a trip in the mountains at a car wash. 

Well with the help of the archives, I replace my switch (a white one)  which was bad with a glaring crack but 

still the car will start. I have gone through the procedure twice (it easier the second time)  but the starter will not engage. 

Battery is fully charged and it was disconnected during the install.  No solenoid click from the starter or anything.  What should I look at next.
