I was sure that I had posted the cowl drain info here as well as AW and QW and sure enough

*Some* of my info posts might seem like they don't apply to your situation (e.g. the early AAN cam
 sensor R&R DIY I just posted today), and they probably don't- at the time.  My hope was that
some people would read them, like the cowl drain post, and act proactively, e.g. to remove the drain valve, as suggested.  Sorry that you missed the post.  Hope you get things dried out and that
 there is no ECU damage.
