[s-cars] electrical woes

My recent UrS fortunes have been so good I've lost touch with those
"they-all-do-that" problems, as well as our common household remedies.
Today my (actually now my son's) 95.5 S6 had the turn signals & climate
control go on the fritz, but the starter, radio, & windows kept working.
Jack got it home & shut it off - now the signals, windows, & cc work but the
starter doesn't engage.  Unless I miss my guess, I'm in for a new ignition
switch & starter.  Thoughts?
