In most cases, the problem comes from the connector at the pads. Cut, strip,
twist, dielectric grease, heat shrink, you're done. In case you don't want
to take the dash out.

A bit of technical help is needed ... because I don't remember what
was discovered, or figured out, several years ago.
My brake pad wear warning light is on part of the time. The pads
are not worn at all.
It will be on for a couple weeks, and then it will off for days or weeks.
It seems to me that someone figured out what to cut or connect near the
dash to just disable the wear warning indicator.
Can someone help me with this? This fix for this one ought to rank right
up there with the steak knife solution for heater core replacements :-)
