In addition to pressure making the tires ride rougher, tire
design/performance rating affects this as well.  I typically don't run
anything more aggressive than all season tires during the summer, with
winter tires in the winter. 

I've gotten over my interest in larger and more aggressive wheels and tires.
I have a set or two if I ever go to the track, but for daily driving, I use
more comfortable stuff.  I have one set of A4 17's with some sort of Kumho
that's not a UHP, but I only run those because I like the look of the wheel
on my black V8 and I inhereted the tires when I bought the silver V8.  They
were on some Gotti wheels that I just didn't care for and have sold.

The majority of my tire references are with V8s and the 91 Avant.

I like 34 - 35 psi all around in my car. Rides a little rougher than 32, but

handles better.
