there is nothing like the S cars that is as affordable. If you have to
spend 2-3K to get it roadworthy is is worth the money in my humble opinion.
Parts are still available, but old cars need lots of TLC as in fix or repair
monthly. If you can manage the upkeep and have the energy to put into the
car. I would say it will reward you with many more miles of fun driving.
Audi engines are stronge and built to last and I have no experience with the
cars past 250K. I would be looking into a good used, TESTED, engine with
fewer miles, say 100K that has been wrecked. I do not know about the Jasper
engines although that is one alternative. I know a good rebuilder for
Mercedes engines in Florida, but not Audi. Perhaps he might agree to do it
for you if you took the car there. His expertise is worth the trip.
