WRT posts below;
As opposed to the first ipod install on the red car from about 80 years ago,
this one proved POC (pieceOcake)
Basically snap out the colored connection back of radio, plug that into the
red Blitzsafe connector and plug the new Blitzsafe color connector into
where the other one used to be in the radio. Attach the ground wire and
you're done.
In the red car, I installed a sony HCB30 blutooth handsfree system (NLA now
Im sure.) Dunno whether the urS mic would work but I just ran the HCB30 mic
up to the SR panel. I did use the oem phone speaker though. Just run the
wires to the speaker. There may well be different/better bluetooth hands
free systems now, but this one works great and is all controlled by one
little button. Will mute the radio for calling if you attach the hcb30 mute
wire to the mute on the radio. Nice feature if you're hands free device has
it as a possibility.
FWLIW I use a Profit vehicle mount with a Proclip device holder for iphone.
I moved the pass. side seat heater switch as far left as possible and left
that slug hole open to run the wire out to the iphone.
