[s-cars] Cylinder Head Crack- how bad is it

Hey Manny, 
How many miles on that one?  How long have you been running with mods?  Are either of those more a factor than the other, or at all?

Fellow S-heads,

Machine shop says my head is unrepairable.

There is definitely a crack and according to the shop manual:

"Cylinder heads with cracks between the valve seats or between the valve seat and spark plug threads may be reused without reducing service life, provided cracks do not exceed 0.5 mm (0.020 in) width or when no more than the first threads are cracked".

By the look of it, the crack extends 7 or 8 threads. The above passage from the book says "no more than the first threads are cracked". I just don't know if my photos qualify as only the first few.

Any advice is appreciated.
