Just re-solder the connector socket behind the CC panel, it'll take 20 minutes.

Subject: [s-cars] Flaky climate control? Here's a solution

Hi all, I'd been experiencing a flaky climate control for the last year, and
as it was getting worse, I started looking for a solution (winter coming, I
like heat).

As you know, replacements are expensive and used ones might start flaking
out themselves (I had a flaky spare already).

I found these guys on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-HEATER-AC-CLIMATE-CONTROL-MODULE-REPAIR-
A4-A6-/380295608883?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item588b627a3

So thinking $50 wasn't much of a risk, I sent my spare to them. Service and
communications were great, and I've been running my refurbished spare for a
couple of weeks. It works perfectly.

If you have a climate control that is locking on a single temp, won't shift
between modes, etc, etc, for $50 this could be the solution you're looking
for.

No affiliation, just a data point from my experiences with this vendor as a
customer.

Have a great weekend.
