[s-cars] Half shaft removal

 Yes, you will need to remove all 6 of the allen (or triple square) bolts going into the flange.  You will also need to remove the bolt at the wheel hub that goes into the outer CV joint.

I would suggest that you spray penetrating oil into each bolt head and cleaning the inside a bit before trying to remove.  I would also tap the allen or triple square bit into the head beforehand, to make sure you're in as far as you can get.  These can strip out fairly easily, and then you have a more involved project on your hands.

Once those are removed, you will still have to turn the steering full lock to have enough room to remove the shaft.

Patient is a '94 UrS4



Just trying to change a CV boot, and struggling to get the half shaft out.

Do I need to remove the allen head bolts from the flange that goes into the

gearbox? Or do I pull that out of the gearbox still attached to the half

shaft?
