[s-cars] LAC - Deer + Avant = need a new DD for the wife.

Gentlemen:

My wife's Avant (nominally an Audi) is now damaged, and not worth the
money to fix.  She would like another C4 Avant, but doesn't want an
S-car (me = sad) and good C4 Avants are getting rare as politician
ethics.

She saw another Avant that she says might work for her - 99-02 Volvo
V70XC.  Well, I know quite a bit about the C4 cars, and can do a lot
of stuff for those cars.  But I know absolutely *nothing* about Volvo
cars of that era.

Now, I know that non-Audi ownership within this list is pretty high,
and you guys are also gearheads, so I figured somebody here would know
something about these cars, or point me to a place where I can do some
reading.
