I am with you on that.  I work for a small company and we have to keep our
software up to date or we would go out of business.  I used to have nothing
but good to say about Bentley, but I hate the DVD interface and the new
paper manuals don't go into enough detail.

Regarding XP I think only the top versions of Win 7 support the XP mode.
 If you have an older operating system disk hanging around you can get
VirtualBox (free download).  We use it on our Win 7 machine at home to run
an XP virtual machine to drive an old printer.  It works great.  You just
set up the virtual machine and install to it like you would a physical
computer.  Then it just runs in a window.
