Wayne: Glad you fixed your problem.  The same rich/adaptation limits reached/exceeded symptoms
 also show up when the MAF to turbo inlet hose splits.  While your "fix" might work, you could buy
 a whole set  of silicone Samcos for less that the dealer price on that one hose.  In the meantime,
 somebody is selling a used set of OE hoses (I have no idea about the price):
