Martin,

I'd say be happy with what you have.  I have true euro headlights (D1 
bulbs) and the light from the newer D2S bulbs is greater.  However, you 
can source euro headlights and have the "capsules" rebuilt using D2S 
bulbs and pay maybe only $2K if lucky.  Though, to answer your question 
I got mine from a junkyard in Germany.  The rebuilder use to and may 
still have auctions on Germany ebay.  I haven't looked recently.
