Trust me Martin, stick with what you got. The OEM Xenons are one of the
first generations of HID's and the Bulb, ballast and ignitor are all one
unit. If any one piece fails you have to replace the whole assembly. BTDT,
the assembly was around $ 550 or so as of 2006-7 . At the time I had a
Canadian '96 S6 and it had one US and one Canadian headlight so I could not
put a conversion kit. Well technically I could, but I would have been
buying different 2 sets. So at the time I decided used OEM was the way to
go.

One side failed shortly after install and I had to get a replacement HID
assembly. In hindsight I could have bought new Euro OEM lights and a HID
conversion and it would have cheaper.

If you still are determined, ebay.de is where I got mine.
