One thing I'd add is Tom is right - this is a common 'generic'
VW/Audi/whoknowswho sender part which can be purchased almost anywhere - BUT
there are varying quality levels for this sender - I had a
just-short-of-catastrophic failure (aka huge puddle in driveway but no
while-running drain down). Due to urgency I got one from a local Napa I
think it was, and it looked like the cheapest Chinese made piece of junk you
can imagine. I tossed it in as a stop-gap anyway as I needed the car running
(and to stop the outpouring of petrochemical lubricants onto the driveway
frankly). Working 'fine' for now, but I have since then acquired a better
OEM-quality unit which is on the list to swap in at next point I'm into the
engine bay as a precaution.
If you have time / access I'd either go OEM or OEM quality if possible to
prevent a repeat ocurrence. I wish I could give you specific brands but am
traveling and don't have access to the boxes sitting in the garage...
